About Us

The Department of Medical Informatics (MI) was established in 2003 to train students specializing in medical informatics used in the medical applications. To serve this education purpose, the department has been cooperating with the Chung-Shan University Hospital, local health industries, and the government agencies in central Taiwan region. Throughout years of development, the department has been regularly renewing its teaching equipment, software, and curriculum to meet the needs for future challenges.

Our education objective focuses on both information technology and its application in medicine. For the purpose, this department organizes a series of core courses to actively cultivate students with knowledge and skills on medical information technology and system integration management through learning multiple information technologies, clinical medical knowledge, and artificial intelligence applications. In order to achieve our goals, this department has set up the following objectives for students.

  1. Strengthen medical ethics education
